This was stated at a press conference in Kiev by Verkhovna Rada MP from the BPP Refat Chubarov, according to whom there is a dual position regarding Crimea among politicians at the international level and called for attention to a number of statements made recently by the head of the German Foreign Ministry.
“Constant calls that sanctions can be reduced or lifted if Russia follows the Minsk agreements indicate that some European politicians are deliberately avoiding the need to talk about respect for human rights in the territory controlled by the Russian Federation, occupied Crimea,” said deputy, recalling that during the last meeting of the Russian and German foreign ministers, the escalation of tensions between Ukraine and Russia due to recent events in Crimea was discussed.
At the same time, the Ukrainian politician complained that the ministers did not discuss the topic of so-called political prisoners from among the Crimean Tatars.
At the same time, he said that one Medjli member, Ilmi Umerov, against whom a criminal case was opened in Crimea, was born in exile.
“And such high politicians as Mr. Steinmeier cannot ignore these circumstances,” Chubarov assures.
