Chubarov called terrorist attacks against Crimea a European tradition
The terrorist attacks that left Crimea without electricity supplies last fall have analogies in European history. Chairman of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“When electricity supply from Crimea stopped, representatives of one respected European state came to us, they were representatives of the government, they began to say that this did not meet basic human rights requirements.
We turned the conversation a little in a different direction - we said that it all started with the fact that they could not protect us when these states did not fulfill their obligations under the Budapest Memorandum.
We showed them that their peoples did exactly this, and gave them an example of what happened in 61 in South Tyrol, where the German majority lives. In one night they blew up 34 pillars in the Alps in order to force the Italian government to ensure the rights of the Germans. This was their land. We said – solve our problem, what is the problem?” - said Chubarov.
