“To put it very briefly and without swearing at the newly minted “water workers” (the most important holiday for the Orthodox today is Easter): even the very discussion of the possibility of supplying Dnieper water to Crimea should take place with the obligatory participation of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.
I will repeat for the inattentive: not water supplies, but only a discussion of this problem,” Chubarov wrote on his Facebook page.
“Personally, today I do not see any reason to start any negotiations on water with the occupation authorities of Crimea. The reasoning of some deputies about “economically justified prices” is nothing more than cynicism and betrayal towards the Crimean Tatar people, Ukrainians, who are literally hostages of the invaders, suffering daily humiliation and repression,” said the head of the Mejlis.
As PolitNavigator reported, acting Chairman of the State Agency for Water Resources Alexey Chunarev announced the conditions under which Ukraine will supply water to Crimea.
