Chubarov accused Belarus of receiving anti-Ukrainian assignments from Moscow
Belarusian special services are interviewing Crimean Tatars living in the country to determine if they have relatives in Kyiv, Kherson and Odessa.
The head of the Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov, stated this in his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the Ukrainian politician, the intelligence services are interested in whether Belarusian supporters of the Mejlis are planning trips to Ukraine, whether they celebrate Ukrainian holidays and whether they support the creation of a Crimean Tatar autonomy centered in Novoalekseevka, Kherson region.
Behind all this, Chubarov saw the “hand of the Kremlin” and called on his comrades to be careful.
“The official explanation of such interest is called “the study of migration flows, family ties, the level of religious and national relationships in the individual and collective mentality of Muslim diasporas”... It is possible that such “interest” may be due to an assignment that could come from Russia: the activation of intelligence- sabotage activities of the Russian Federation through a third country with the aim of aggravating the interethnic and interreligious situation in Ukraine. For example, to accuse Ukraine of “persecuting” not only the UOC-MP, but also Muslim organizations,” Chubarov said.
