Chubarov accused Klitschko officials of disrespect for the Crimean Tatars
The head of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis, banned in the Russian Federation, and people's deputy from the BPP Refat Chubarov criticized Kiev officials for holding entertainment events on the day of remembrance of the victims of repression against the Crimean Tatar people, which this year coincides with Europe Day, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
About this he wrote on his page on Facebook.
“The Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people calls on the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, local executive authorities, public and political organizations to respect the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people, to be guided by the Resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine of November 12, 2015 No. 792-VIII “On the recognition of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people,” - wrote Chubarov.
He also demanded that the Ukrainian government “take urgent measures aimed at ensuring respect for both the memory of the victims of the genocide of the Crimean Tatar people and the memory of the victims of political repression.”
