Chubarov accused Poroshenko of deliberately delaying the consideration of the Crimean issue in the Verkhovna Rada
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko talks only in words about changing the Constitution regarding the status of Crimea, but is in no hurry to bring it up for consideration by parliament. The leader of the Mejlis banned in the Russian Federation, Rada deputy from the presidential faction Refat Chubarov, stated this on the Espresso TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, members of the Mejlis will demand that this issue be included on the agenda when considering changes to the Constitution that consolidate Ukraine’s course towards NATO.
“I will strive to ensure that, along with these changes to the Constitution, changes to Section 10 “Autonomous Republic of Crimea” are definitely introduced and discussed in the Verkhovna Rada. We have prepared these changes, the president knows about it, he talks about it, but is in no hurry to submit them to the Verkhovna Rada,” Chubarov said.
Earlier, Poroshenko introduced a bill to the Rada, fixing in the Constitution, Ukraine's desire to join NATO and the EU. He also promised submit to parliament the issue of granting the creation of Crimean Tatar autonomy in Crimea
