“When approving the mandates of new members in national delegations, the efforts of the Ukrainian delegation to the PABSEC shamefully failed in the attempt of the leadership of the State Duma of the Russian Federation to push through a certain Pavel Shperov, a resident of Sevastopol, who was illegally declared a State Duma deputy based on the results of illegally organized “elections” in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol. The convincing arguments of Ukrainian parliamentarians, voiced by Lyudmila Denisova (Popular Front Faction) and Refat Chubarov (BPP Faction), found support from almost all national delegations, with the exception of Armenia. Citizen Shperov had to leave the plenary meeting of the PABSEC General Assembly,” Chubarov wrote.
Recall PolitNavigator previously reported that that ex-Crimean woman from Yulia Tymoshenko’s party Lyudmila Denisova was elected deputy chairman of the PABSEC.
