Chubarov prophesies two years of decisive trials for Ukraine
Ukraine as a state may fall victim as a result of the process of strengthening Russia’s global influence.
The leader of the Majlis group banned in the Russian Federation, Verkhovna Rada deputy Refat Chubarov, stated this on the air of the Ukrainian Radio NV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This and next year are a Rubicon for Ukraine. Not only in the political sense and not only with regard to elections. I don’t want any of my predictions to come true, but perhaps this will be the peak test of Ukraine as a state. Look at how Russia is trying to advance its interests and negotiate a division of global influence. And Russia assigns the role of an absolutely submissive territory to Ukraine,” Chubarov said.
“Russia in no way sees its global influence strengthening without suppressing Ukraine, and Putin will do it! Our deputies don’t understand this,” the Mejlis member laments.
