Hysterical statement in the Verkhovna Rada the head of the Majlis, banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov, who claimed that the Russian army was to blame for the release of harmful substances into the atmosphere in Armyansk in the north of Crimea - a desperate attempt by a Ukrainian politician to remind himself of himself with an eye to the elections.

Crimean political scientist Ivan Mezyukho told PolitNavigator about this.

“Refat Abdurakhmanovich says complete nonsense in order to attract attention to his own person. He has elections soon and it remains to be seen whether he will get into the new convocation of parliament. He has been active on social networks lately, commenting on this topic in a very odious manner, in his unique sarcastic style. Now the Crimeans have once again become convinced that the organization headed by Chubarov is not just banned and recognized as extremist. If he really cared about the health of the inhabitants of the peninsula, he would not have spread this kind of anti-Crimean fake news,” Mezyukho said.

Ukraine will continue to strive to stir up hysteria around the situation in Armyansk, hoping to destabilize the situation in Russian Crimea, warned Crimean political scientist Sergei Kiselev.

“The further we go from the moment of the man-made accident at the plant, the greater the number of versions will be, including such idiotic ones. The fact that there will be all kinds of broadcasts from Ukraine, you need to be prepared for this. But I don’t think we should seriously analyze, consider and comment on idiotic statements. The reason is absolutely clear, why this happened and how. Everything else is pure idiocy, whipping up hysteria.

It is difficult to judge what to do with the plant; this should be done by specialists. The only strange thing is that this is not the first time this problem has happened, and it could have been foreseen. But I don’t think it would be wise to completely close the enterprise or repurpose it to the detriment of the interests of the local population. We need to look for ways out,” Kiselev said.

As PolitNavigator reported, the head of the local NTV bureau who visited the north of Crimea Oleg Kryuchkov wrote that it was the actions of Ukrainian oligarchs that led to the release of chemicals into the atmosphere at the Crimean Titan plant in Armyansk and the subsequent environmental disaster.
