Chubarov laments that there are too many opponents of Majlis autonomy in Kyiv
Members of the Mejlis announce the completion of work on amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in part of Crimea on May 9. The leader of a group banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov, stated this on Channel 5, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, after this the law will be submitted to the Rada, and there, Chubarov complained, there are a lot of opponents of Majlis autonomy.
“Now the Working Group of the Constitutional Commission is looking at this text. Just yesterday there was the last meeting and our head, Professor Butkevich, said that there were two meetings left and somewhere on May 9-10 we should submit the final text to the Constitutional Commission...
Now all that remains is the political subtext behind this decision. I don't see anything else.
I would like to say that, oddly enough, we have a sufficient number of active politicians who, in general, not knowing how to return Crimea, restore the sovereignty of the Ukrainian state, do not want to understand what is happening in Crimea, and who is holding resistance against occupiers. They, however, are ready to talk endlessly about some theoretical aspects related to the restoration of autonomy,” Chubarov said.
