Chubarov demands that Ukraine amend the Constitution regarding the Crimean Tatars by the end of the year
Changes to the Constitution on the status of the Crimean Tatar people should be considered by the Verkhovna Rada before the end of this year.

This demand was made by a people's deputy from the BPP, the fugitive head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, banned in the Russian Federation, during a round table on the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples.
“We will try to do everything to ensure that the bill is considered before the end of this year. And not only the bill, but also the changes that should be made to the Constitution of Ukraine. At least we have taken some steps for this,” the BPP press service quotes Chubarov as saying.
Chubarov noted that the relevant bill contains difficulties related to the situation in which Ukraine found itself due to the loss of Crimea.
“And here we need to resolve some issues radically, especially those related to the interaction of representative bodies of the Crimean Tatar people with local authorities. But we are working on this bill. And we will try to ensure that it is still considered,” added Chubarov.
