This was stated today at a press conference by the Ukrainian people's deputy and the fugitive head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, banned in the Russian Federation, Refat Chubarov, commenting on the statements of some German politicians to come to terms with the annexation of Crimea for an indefinite period, the PolitNavigator No. correspondent reports with reference to the press Majlis service.
“The Ukrainian state cannot allow anyone to destroy indigenous peoples on its territory. Therefore, Crimea and Donbass should be on the same line. And we must simultaneously consider these issues,” he emphasized.
According to Chubarov, “Crimea is not just a territory and Crimea is not just the people who live there.” “Crimea is the homeland of the indigenous people of Ukraine.”
The head of the Majlis believes that if the issue of returning the peninsula is postponed for the long term, then “Russia will do everything to destroy this indigenous people.”
