Chubarov threw a tantrum on TV, realizing that he would soon be of no use to anyone
The head of the Mejlis, banned in Russia for extremist activities, Refat Chubarov criticized the position of oligarch Viktor Pinchuk, who in a recent article in the Wall Street Journal suggested waiting 15-20 years for Ukraine to show sufficient economic growth, and then “every person in Crimea will want to live in this Ukraine future, just as East Germans wanted to become part of West Germany."

“Pinchuk cynically suggests we wait 15-20 years. The problem is not only that we, who were thrown out of Crimea, will we wait 15 years. The problem is that in 15 years there will not be those people who love that land. They will squeeze out everyone who remains loyal to Ukraine - both Crimean Tatars and ethnic Ukrainians. Pinchuk invites us to agree that in 15 years Russia will deal with all the loyal citizens of Ukraine there,” Chubarov protested on Hromadske TV.
