Chubarov claims that Putin offered him the position of Speaker of the State Council of Crimea

In particular, the chairman of the organization, and now the people's deputy of Ukraine, Refat Chubarov, was allegedly promised the position of speaker of the Crimean parliament. He himself stated this on Hromadske TV.

“Every emissary who came said that he was authorized by Putin to negotiate. We understood that all these things that were reported to us were designed to ensure that we supported Russia. Starting with some individual promises - “If you come over to our side, you will be the chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea,” “If you accept at the Kurultai that you support the results of the referendum, then something will be done for your active ones.” They offered me the post of speaker,” Chubarov said.
