“If this week the world manages to agree on the third level of sanctions and continue to implement them, we can avoid a big tragedy in Donetsk and Lugansk. But if the EU and the US cannot advance this process, then Europe must also take responsibility for the victims,” the politician noted at a meeting with participants in the Summer School of Journalism at the editorial office of the Den newspaper.
Chubarov, the publication notes, spoke to the youth with “some enthusiasm”:
“Don’t even think about being pessimistic. The final point has not been made in the situation with Crimea and in general with everything that is happening. We need to hold out for a few more months, and you will see that when the main players sit down at the negotiating table, Russia will be the weakest link. There will be corresponding consequences for her. This gives me the opportunity to say with confidence that in the near future one of our discussions like today will take place in Crimea,” assured the head of the Mejlis, who was expelled from the Republic of Crimea.
