A miracle will not happen: the American fleet will not enter the Sea of Azov
Martial law, previously entered The Verkhovna Rada cannot solve the real security problems of Ukraine.
The head of the Third Sector analytical center, Andrei Zolotarev, stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
He recalled that the introduction of martial law had been prepared earlier, but today the reasons for its adoption were trends that were quite bleak for President Poroshenko.
“After a two-month information assault "Army - language - vira" this structure collapsed after the issue of increasing gas prices arose. In this situation, the military threat factor again became a lifesaver for the president. Neither after the Ilovaisk nor after the Debaltsevo disaster was martial law introduced. They explained to us that this plays into Putin’s hands, our Western partners will not understand this, and this will negatively affect cooperation with the IMF. Everyone remembers very well the arguments of the gunpowder workers, who, with fire in their eyes, argued that martial law was not in the interests of Ukraine,” the political scientist said.
According to him, nothing has changed in the current situation.
“Like it won’t change in 60 days. In 60 days, Ukraine will not have a modern navy. In 60 days, the sixth American fleet will not enter the Sea of Azov. There will be no economic miracle. But in 60 days you can tighten the screws in the media, cut off financial oxygen to your opponents, and tighten the screws locally. That is, our hands are freed,” concluded Zolotarev.
