The first president of Ukraine, Leonid Kravchuk, feels “some kind of threat” and cannot sleep without putting a gun next to him.
He stated this on the NEWSONE channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“You know, a person always feels in danger, in a global world, when there are so many things - cars, airplanes, nuclear energy. There is always some danger.
Now I feel not just danger, but some kind of threat. I can't even explain it. So I go to bed and there’s a gun on my nightstand with me. Always. I'm already used to it. If I don't take it out of my nightstand and put it next to it, I can't sleep. If someone wants to do something, I know what this gun in my hands can do - nothing. But he calms me down,” Kravchuk said.
