Tsymbalyuk decided to argue with Putin: Russia was built by Ukrainian hands
Moscow allegedly does not have the right to demand from Ukraine the return of territories historically belonging to Russia, because the Soviet Union was built by “Ukrainian hands.”
Ukrainian journalist Roman Tsymbalyuk, who works in Moscow, stated this in an interview with Russian liberal journalist Ilya Varlamov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russian representatives often say: “Leave with what you came with, give back the gifts of the Russian people,” I quote Vladimir Putin. But, my friends, when we lived in one big Soviet family, Ukrainian hands built this big country. And this man, Vladimir Putin, was recently in Vladivostok, and said that some Little Russians, afraid of the word “Ukrainians,” were developing these gigantic spaces,” Tsymbalyuk said.
In his opinion, Ukraine supposedly has the right to lay claim to the rest of the USSR’s heritage.
“So I want to wonder - when we built something together, it was all yours. And now, when we say - come on, since we separated. That’s why there were recognized borders (UNR – approx.), so that there would be no war. And as soon as they stopped recognizing borders, they got what they got,” the journalist added.
