On Monday, November 15, Barabanshchikov was taken into custody for two months by court decision.

Tsirit, commenting on the situation to journalists, pointed out that the case could be politicized, since the ex-head of the USP took a principled position regarding the corruption of district officials and the cartelization of the social services sector, doing everything to ensure that St. Petersburg schoolchildren received quality food in educational institutions.

Alexey Barabanshchikov refused to admit his guilt in the case brought against him.
