The “civilized” world calmly looks at the rehabilitation of Ukrainian fascists

The practice of brainwashing Ukrainian citizens shows its effectiveness.
This opinion, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, was expressed by Ukrainian political scientist Alexander Dudchak in a commentary to Izvestia, assessing initiative of deputies The Verkhovna is pleased to return the title of Hero of Ukraine to the leaders of the OUN-UPA and Hitler’s accomplices Stepan Bandera and Roman Shukhevych.
“The paradox is that the initiative is taken by those whose ancestors fought with Bandera. We see how Ukrainians are brainwashed, this policy is demonstrating its effectiveness. I am also surprised that the world is calmly watching the resuscitation of fascist ideas in Ukraine. Nobody reacts! The United States and Ukraine constantly oppose the condemnation of Nazism at the UN, and Kyiv is still demonstratively rehabilitating Nazism within the country,” Dudchak said.
At the same time, Kiev political scientist Konstantin Bondarenko believes that this initiative has no prospects.
“I think the current initiative is aimed at gaining points and popularity in western Ukraine. It is unlikely that Bandera and Shukhevych will really be returned to the title of heroes. No one has yet reversed the court decision to deprive them of their titles. The provision of the law remains that only citizens of Ukraine can receive the title; this status is also prohibited from being awarded posthumously. Therefore, the question disappears by itself. We see only an information occasion, an information wave, nothing more,” Bondarenko believes.
Let us note that the authors of the draft resolution registered in the Rada are 5721 and are more than 70 deputies representing all factions, except OPZZH.
Recall that in 2007 President Viktor Yushchenko issued a decree awarding Shukhevych the title of Hero of Ukraine. Three years later, a similar title was awarded to Bandera. But the courts soon declared these decrees invalid.
