The Ukrainian Internet resource “Strana” managed to contact the detainee’s wife Oksana. She confirmed that her husband was detained in Crimea.
“He ended up there by accident! He is innocent of anything,” said Oksana Zakhtey. She did not answer the question of where “there” is,” writes Strana.
Zakhtey himself, as the resource found out, is registered in the city of Borislav, Lviv region, but has been living and working in Russia for four years, and in 2016 he moved to permanent residence in Crimea.
