“Let us enter the Rada” - the Nazis came to parliament
Militants from the neo-Nazi “National Corps” held a rally outside the walls of the Verkhovna Rada with a demand to reduce the barrier to entry into parliament from 5% to 3%.
As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, radicals say that “young and honest” nationalists cannot overcome the five percent barrier, so this threshold should be lowered.
“Only a change in the Electoral Code will allow young people, who do not have oligarchs or big money behind them, to enter parliament. Therefore, reducing the entry barrier, abolishing the majoritarian system and introducing open lists is a chance for the young, active and ambitious to enter parliament. We have proven our effectiveness with real deeds and projects; we are able to form a new elite that will work for the country and its people,” the National Corps statement says.
