The most dangerous thing is to sow disappointment and distrust precisely in that largest patriotic part of society, which supports, experiences with pain any failure, and sometimes out of ignorance, but sometimes we don’t know why we didn’t do this, and so on. All this is falling on us together. Thousands of channels are trying to sow these different forms of mistrust at different levels,” said Natalia Narochnitskaya, president of the Foundation for the Study of Historical Perspectives.
Continuing the theme of the danger of sowing disillusioned sentiments and mistrust in the patriotic camp, Russian film director Karen Shakhnazarov, using a specific example, suggested giving one of the most implacable critics of the Russian leadership an opportunity to prove himself.
