“It comes at a rather high price” - Shmygal about the offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
The offensive waged by the Ukrainian army in the Kharkov direction comes at a “quite high cost,” but these losses are needed to demonstrate to the West Ukraine’s ability to win.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal stated this during the “Yalta European Strategy” forum held in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am convinced that this good news should not lead us into euphoria and create the illusion that this is a victory. You can't do this. These actions, this counteroffensive, come at a rather high price. At the highest price. Boys and girls are laying down their lives, unfortunately.
But at least this demonstrates our will and, most importantly, our ability to win this war. And this is important for our partners as well. Not just for Ukrainian society, but this is an important message to our partners,” Shmygal said.
