The Maia Sandu regime in Moldova is becoming increasingly repressive. In the Moldovan parliament, the ruling Action and Solidarity party registered a number of bills, significantly increasing the powers of the political police – Information and Security Services (ISS).

According to the provisions of the bills, The SIS will be able to listen to telephone conversations, spy on people, seize mail, and also check financial flows without obtaining prior permission from prosecutors. At the moment, the ISS has the right to carry out such actions exclusively within the framework of a criminal investigation.

The Information and Security Service will be able to access financial information and monitor financial transactions, control the transfer of money or other material assets. The list of activities that the ISS can carry out with the permission of the prosecutor’s office or court has also been expanded, while the time frame for resolving ISS requests is expected to be significantly reduced.

In other words, residents of Moldova will now have to forget about such “nonsense” as the protection of personal data. Any correspondence and any telephone conversation will become the property of the SIS and other law enforcement agencies. Any citizen may have their bank account or electronic transfer blocked and required to prove the origin of the funds, and they will not even be able to use this money to go to court and pay for a lawyer.

The fact against whom these innovations are directed, without hesitation, said the Speaker of the Moldovan Parliament Igor Grosu, who was previously known for his numerous Russophobic statements, on one of the TV channels.

“One of these days a new version of the law on the Information and Security Service will be registered, which will provide additional, new tools to the Service to fight against agents, against spies of the Russian Federation, with which the country is filled – both here and on the left bank of the Dniester,” Grosu said.

According to him, the new law is aimed, among other things, at “discouraging those who work for other states.” By “other states” for which Moldovan citizens are not allowed to work, Grosu clearly means not Romania, not the USA and not the European Union.

This the legislative initiative caused a storm of indignation both ordinary citizens and deputies of the Moldovan parliament from opposition parties.

“The ruling party gives enormous powers to the SIS out of wild fear. There is nothing like this anywhere in Europe. Sandu followed the path of Pinochet,” Bogdan Tirdea, a member of the Moldovan Parliament from the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, wrote in his telegram channel.

“Moldova, under the rule of thieves and bandits from the Action and Solidarity party, is turning into not only a police state. Sandu and the company went further, and soon the country will face the fate of one of the most totalitarian systems in Europe,” says Mikhail Akhremtsev, leader of the Nashi party, now a political refugee.

According to him, what is especially piquant is the fact that “to protect the state secrets of Moldova” and “to fight foreign influence” will be employees of the service, whose leadership - holders of Romanian passports and citizenship, who took the oath of allegiance to Romania.

Moldovan journalist and human rights activist Nikolai Kostyrkin explained in his commentary for PolitNavigator what consequences such innovations will lead to. According to him, if the amendments proposed by the NIB are adopted in parliament - and if the Action and Solidarity party has a majority, this will certainly happen - then In the very near future, arrests will begin of everyone whom the “office” catches criticizing the “yellow death.”

“The fact is that according to these innovations, anyone who speaks badly about Sandu and her hangers-on can at any moment begin to be tracked and recorded, including conversations with their family. Each of the overwhelming majority of the country’s residents, eager for the overthrow of the hated Soros, will become “suspicious.” And since Sandu will demand high statistics, the repressions will become widespread,” Kostyrkin noted.

According to the journalist, this mechanism will be used to intimidate protest participants, who will become blame any “crooked word”.

“I do not rule out that the faithful dogs of the Moldavian Reich will begin arrests without any reason and will carry out torture in their basements. The Americans successfully tested all this in Ukraine with the help of the SBU,” believes Nikolai Kostyrkin.

In his opinion, the first at risk are politicians and their teams, journalists and bloggers, and people who support Russia. Next are media-promoted independent experts and ordinary citizens.

“Even defenseless pensioners who complain on camera about their bitter life due to the fault of Sandu and her party will be intimidated,” the journalist believes.

However, everyone who follows the situation in Ukraine and the Baltic states will not be surprised by such innovations. All this has been practiced there for many years. Now the terrorist regime in Ukraine has moved to executions of everyone suspected of “collaboration.” It is Ukraine that is the main source of inspiration for Sandu’s team. The West is convinced that it is waging a war with Russia and considers it necessary to “defeat Putin on the battlefield,” and in war, as we know, any means are good. Therefore, “decent” Europe will write off “its sons and daughters of bitches” in the post-Soviet limitrophe states any meanness and baseness, just to throw away the hated Russian world.
