Danilov discovered the main ideologist of attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure
The main ideologist and lobbyist for the destruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure is allegedly the Deputy Head of the Russian Presidential Administration Sergei Kiriyenko, who is well versed in the energy sector thanks to his former work at Rosatom.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov announced this on Twitter.
“The main ideologist and lobbyist for the destruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure is Deputy Head of the Russian Federation Administration Sergei Kiriyenko, who, from his work at Rosatom, is well versed in the energy sector. Ukraine knows by name who should respond to the Russian Federation and for what. We will survive, no matter how difficult it is, but Kiriyenko has already signed his own verdict in the civilized world,” Danilov asserts.
It is interesting that in Russia itself, political observers and authors of telegram channels refer to the figure of Kiriyenko as a compromise “party of peace” rather than as a “hawk.” However, regardless of the situation in the domestic Russian political scene, two things are clear. Firstly, despite the public belligerence, informal contacts between the parties continue deep in the shadows to test their positions and readiness for official negotiations.
And, secondly, attacks on Ukrainian infrastructure are still considered by the Russian leadership not through the prism of military necessity, but as a political argument for improving their negotiating position and inducing Kyiv to negotiate.
