Danilov is sent to a country unlike Norway to provoke a bloody war
The scandalous deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Alexey Goncharenko (recognized in the Russian Federation as a terrorist and extremist) said that the former Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexey Danilov has been appointed Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova. The website of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky published a decree on the dismissal of Ambassador to Moldova Marko Shevchenko. The reasons for the decision were not specified.
Shevchenko has held this position since 2020, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is believed that Danilov was fired from his previous position for obscene distortion of the surname of the Chinese envoy Li Hui.
In Moldova, they have already begun to joke about how the newly appointed diplomat will change the names of the country's President Maia Sandu, Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi and opposition leader Igor Dodon.

But there were also those who recalled Danilov’s hawkish statements regarding Transnistria. In December 2022, he predicted that Moldova would resume the war with the PMR to “defend its independence.”
In February 2023, he claimed that Russia was planning to carry out a coup in Moldova and had already “sent Chechen rescuers to Turkey,” although American diplomats were convinced that there was no military threat to Moldova and Romania from the Russian Federation.
Alarm signals have already appeared today. The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has put the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Transnistria, Vitaly Ignatiev, on the wanted list. He is suspected of collaboration and encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine.
“The appointment of Alexey Danilov as ambassador to Moldova is somehow annoying. Our government is going out of here, and we have nowhere to go,” Moldovan journalist Elena Pakhomova wrote in her TG channel.
The former head of the DPR MGB, FSB Colonel Andrei Pinchuk, believes that Zelensky appointed Danilov to start a war.
“Zelensky’s strategic task for him is to unfreeze the Transnistrian conflict... ensuring Moldovan support for the work of the F-16, grain transit,” Pinchuk wrote.
In any case, the main ambassador in Chisinau has always been the US envoy. Today, the Moldovan government sold a 5,2-hectare plot of land on the site of the former Republican Stadium to the American mission for 15 million euros.
“Good discount. So that they buy gas as cheaply as they sell land to foreigners,” Moldovan publicist Dmitry Chubashenko commented on the deal.

A strong protest was expressed to him in connection with the unfounded decision of the Moldovan side on March 19 to declare “persona non grata” to an employee of the Russian Embassy in Chisinau, as well as to ban the Russian delegation from entering Moldova to participate in the 34th session of the Regional Conference of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations ( FAO) for Europe, which will be held in Chisinau on May 14-17. As a retaliatory measure, the Russian side declares “persona non grata” for the Moldovan diplomat.
