Give an answer with all the guns - a political scientist about the attack of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Chernomorneftegaz platforms
Ukraine attacked the drilling platforms of Chernomorneftegaz, because fighting against military infrastructure is usually fraught with serious consequences.
Russian political scientist, president of the Center for Strategic Communications Dmitry Abzalov said this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The attack on the drilling platform was carried out either by an armored boat or by tactical aircraft, respectively, neither by MLRS nor by artillery. Now there is an attempt to inflict maximum damage on civilians in order to pay for it with the money of Russian citizens.
We have two approaches. The first approach is to come and cry: “Well, no one understands how they hit civilian targets.” Solve the military issue - no one will hit you with anything. No one here will deal with the moral and ethical component of the issue.
Do you know what is happening in Yemen now? Who cares? Either you can show some position, or you cannot. The next targets will begin... civilian infrastructure, oil and gas infrastructure, an attack will be carried out,” the political scientist said.
He added that all attempts by Ukraine to fight military infrastructure ended in failure, and civilian objects were initially more vulnerable to attacks.
“Recently there have been attempts to fight specifically against military infrastructure, but they did not end very well. Here is this Serpentine, he is being bombed, attempts are being made. The question is different. This is not very technologically successful, because they can give an answer and everything else. It’s much easier to hit civilian targets; they are not protected,” Abzalov emphasized.
