"Let's not lie." Ukraine miserably fails vaccination
If in developed countries the number of people vaccinated against Covid is in the millions, then in Ukraine this figure has only exceeded a hundred thousand.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from the OPZH Nestor Shufrich said this on air on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What is happening with vaccinations? Nothing, 137 thousand vaccinated as of yesterday. 6,3 million vaccinated in the Russian Federation, of which 4,3 have already been vaccinated twice.
In fact, Ukraine is not vaccinating! And there is no need to say that the people are to blame for something, that they don’t want something. There is nothing to offer the people, the people would be happy to get vaccinated if there was an opportunity for this. Let’s not lie – today in Ukraine there is no opportunity to get vaccinated for money,” Shufrich said.
In turn, the director of the Institute of Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the RUDN University, Dmitry Egorchenkov, noted that since Europe will not supply Ukraine with its vaccine, Sputnik V will be delivered to this country.
“It is Sputnik that will go to Ukraine, because for political reasons the European countries that could provide this vaccine will begin to prevaricate and say that it is not necessary. Who will they give it to? To the one who can't refuse! Therefore, if Sputnik flies to Ukraine, it will already be banned. If Ukraine refuses, they say to it: “Excuse me, we offered you,” Yegorchenkov concluded.
