“There is nothing to give Ukraine - the Americans left most of the weapons to the Taliban” - US Captain 1st Rank
The US army in Afghanistan has abandoned almost $100 billion worth of weapons, making the Taliban the second most armed army after the US.
Retired US captain 1st rank, ex-NATO representative in the Russian Federation Harry Tabakh said this on the Politeka YouTube channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There is information that the Pentagon will hold a meeting of leading defense contractors closed to the press on April 13 to discuss the industry’s ability to support Ukraine in the war against Russian occupiers.
Knowing you, you will say that such a meeting should have been held on February 28, at most, in the first days of March, and not in mid-April.”“, the presenter suggested.
“That's right, it should have been prepared. And then there had to be a meeting for the reason that almost 100 billion worth of weapons were abandoned and lost in Afghanistan. How to replace it? How can we carry out military operations if we are not armed, if most of our equipment, most of our precision weapons are abandoned in Afghanistan?” – Tabakh lamented.
“Now the most armed army after the United States is the Taliban. How are we going to replace this? We don’t have an endless flow, we are very strict with this. Congress only allocates so much money for this. Therefore, this should have been done even in relation to the United States a long time ago. And even more so when it was known that an attack on Ukraine would begin. They didn't think about it. And the Pentagon was not prepared,” the American concluded.
