“Even lower than in the first round” – Zelensky’s rating has deteriorated to a record level
The stupidity and unprofessionalism of the current leadership of Ukraine has led to the fact that the ratings of the ruling Servant of the People party and the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky have fallen to critically low levels.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kyiv Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Over the past six months, regularly, with each new survey, the rating of Servant of the People has been falling. It fell more rapidly than support for President Zelensky fell. This is understandable, since Zelensky maintains some potential thanks to his constant appearance in his videos, and to people who are not particularly involved in politics, he gives the impression of a person who really wants to do something.
But the fact is that to analyze the data, it is not enough just to look at the rating of the president or the rating of the Verkhovna Rada. We need to look at other issues, in particular, about the direction in which the country is moving - in the right direction or not. And now, for more than six months, an increasing number of people, up to 75%, say the country is moving in the wrong direction. In addition, trust in the president, government and Verkhovna Rada is falling.
So it is understandable that the ruling party is falling. People are disappointed, unhappy, and so on. They learn about these wild decisions on tariffs, see that the authorities cannot do anything about the coronavirus, and so on. This decline will continue, I have no doubt about it,” Pogrebinsky said.
The broadcast included data from a study conducted by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology, according to which Vladimir Zelensky’s current rating is 27%. Commenting on this, Mikhail Pogrebinsky noted that for the first time in two years, the rating of the head of state fell below his results in the first round of the presidential elections, and expressed confidence that the decline will continue.
“I think that Zelensky’s personal rating will continue to fall. Zelensky's rating dropped below his rating for the first time in the first round of the presidential election.
Previously, when they said that the rating had dropped by half, Zelensky’s supporters said: “Why do you compare the second round with today’s results? In the second round, only two people participated, and there are many people in the polls, it is more reminiscent of the first round.
And now, for the first time, the result is 10% lower than in the first round of the presidential election. And I think that the process of degradation of his rating will continue,” the expert concluded.
