Even Tyagnibokov’s supporters realized: NATO and economic prosperity are not in the cards for Ukraine.
Ukraine should not expect to be accepted into NATO, nor should it expect an economic breakthrough. Dreams about the collapse of Russia also look utopian.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy from the nationalist party “Svoboda” Alexander Mirny stated this on the NTA TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Mirny, the state’s economy is destroyed, and the possibility of its restoration is unclear.
“The President said that our victory will be when we reach the lines on February 23. Now the situation has changed and our victory will be when we take away everything that was in 91, and the hottest heads say that our victory will be when Russia collapses.
Why I say “the hottest heads” is because people need to understand the scale of these dreams. In order for Russia to collapse, we and the entire civilized world need to do something. And it’s not a fact that the entire civilized world will want to tense up there,” said the nationalist.
“We must take a sober approach to everything that happens around us, including with us, because we are also transforming. When they say that as soon as we win, they will take us into NATO... they won’t take us into NATO until we defeat corruption, until we rebuild a country that is like Sweden, like Finland, which follows an accelerated procedure...
And we will not be the best economy in Europe in the coming times, we need to forget about that too. Because today the best brains of Ukraine have left, we have about five million people of the best, most productive age, also left Ukraine. Our economy is destroyed - it is unclear how we will rebuild it,” Mirny said.
