Deinego and Pushilin ask mediators to hurry up Kyiv with a special status for the DPR and LPR
Moscow - Kyiv, March 9 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - Official representatives of the DPR and LPR Vladislav Deinego and Denis Pushilin appealed to the participants of the contact group on Ukraine with a request to influence Kiev on the issue of granting special status to Donbass. The appeal was sent to the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman Heidi Tagliavini, the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma and the Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov.
“On March 14, the deadline for the adoption of a resolution of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, defining the list of Donbass regions with a special political and economic status, expires. This must be done in accordance with the law of Ukraine on the procedure for self-government in certain regions and a set of measures to implement the Minsk agreements,” the appeal says.
In this regard, Deinego and Pushilin ask to remind President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Vladimir Groysman of the need to comply with the terms of the Minsk agreements.
