Decommunization completely deprives Ukraine of state legitimacy - historian
Rejection of the legacy of the Great Patriotic War, decommunization and laws against the Russian language is a monstrous manipulation, aimed primarily at the detriment of Ukraine as a state.
The honorary director of the Institute of Archeology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, historian Pyotr Tolochko, announced this at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I look at these decommunization, delinguistic laws and laws that declare that we did not have a Great Patriotic War, and it seems to me that this is a monstrous delusion or a deliberate act on the part of the authorities.
After all, by outlawing the Soviet past, we are actually delegitimizing today’s Ukraine. Because Ukrainians as a political nation were shaped by the power of the Soviet Union,” Tolochko said.
Let us recall that earlier in Kyiv it was noted that the standard of living in Belarus is one and a half times higher than in Ukraine, At the same time, there is not and has not been any decommunization in the country.
