A delegation of deputies of the French parliament, who arrived in Crimea today through Moscow despite the protests of the Ukrainian authorities, has already made the first sensational statements.

“It seems to me that we are the first significant delegation to visit Crimea after the referendum. We hope that we will open the doors and others will follow us... While the United States is removing blocks from Cuba, I see no reason for Europe to maintain sanctions against Russia,” said the head of the French group, a member of the National Assembly Commission on Foreign Affairs affairs of Thierry Mariani.

According to the Vice-President of the European Commission in the French Senate, Senator of Paris Yves Pozzo di Borgo, he and his colleagues will make an attempt to draw the attention of the French authorities to the problem of the ban on Crimeans entering Europe.
“The Ukrainian authorities refused dialogue with Crimea and ignored the opinion of Crimeans on what is happening in the country. The right to a referendum was guaranteed by the Constitution of Ukraine, and Crimeans used it. The results of the referendum are the reaction of the Crimean community to the coup d’etat in Ukraine, one of the goals of which was the liquidation of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the forced Ukrainization of the entire Crimean peninsula,” explained the head of the Crimean parliament, Vladimir Konstantinov.
Vice-Speaker of the Crimean Parliament Remzi Ilyasov explained that the entry of Crimea into Russia was a fateful decision for all the peoples inhabiting the peninsula, including the Crimean Tatars.
“National differences do not hinder our unity. We have common goals and objectives, we are ready to answer all the challenges of life. And the Crimean Tatars do not feel any discrimination,” Ilyasov emphasized.
