According to the publication, the mission’s work lasted from November 11 to November 25, IMF experts were supposed to discuss the terms of the tranche with the new composition of the Ukrainian government. But before that, the Verkhovna Rada had to adopt the budget for 2015.
The fact is that the old estimate, which parliament developed back in September, contains overly optimistic forecasts for economic development - growth of 2% - now they need to be adjusted.
Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers proposes to include in the budget two scenarios for the state of the economy - a decline of 2,4% and a pessimistic one of 4,5%. The National Bank is leaning towards the latter option.
The current conditions require a revision of the IMF lending program and, most likely, the publication writes, the next tranche will be implemented in 2015.
