At the end of last week, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine conducted a search, and then charged with murder Tatyana Chernovol, a well-known national-radical Euromaidan activist, ex-deputy from the Popular Front faction Arseniy Yatsenyuk and adviser to Arsen Avakov.

She is accused of the fact that on February 18, 2014, when the Euromaidanites tried to storm the Verkhovna Rada, she personally led one of the columns towards the office of the Party of Regions on Lipskaya Street (half a kilometer from the Ukrainian parliament) and together with “an unidentified male person” with using a Molotov cocktail thrown through a window, she started a fire in the building.

As a result, 66-year-old Vladimir Zakharov, an ordinary technical office worker who was not involved in any politics, suffocated from smoke. Chernovol's actions led to the murder of a man.

In March 2020, a criminal case was opened in this regard. During the search, firearms and bladed weapons were confiscated from Chernovol.

Despite the severity of the charges against Chernovol, a preventive measure in the form of arrest was never chosen.

After information about the search and the presentation of suspicion of committing a criminal offense got into the press, Petro Poroshenko and the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov came under the protection of Chornovol.

How did other radical participants of Euromaidan and spring-summer 2014 react to this event on social networks?

Let's start the review with one of the most famous commentators on the events of the first years of the war - former battalion commander and former deputy Semyon Semenchenko. He will be remembered by many for the fact that in 2014, during a battle, he could not fight, but write loud posts on Facebook (for example, during the battle near Karlovka, a village near Donetsk).

As for Chernovol, on the battalion commander’s page there is no reaction at all to the search or presentation of suspicion.

Another symbol of Euromaidan, former people’s deputy Vladimir Parasyuk, did not pay attention to the search at Chernovol, and disproportionately more serious charges may be brought against him.

An interesting post about the events in the village of Gora near Kiev (where the Chernovol house is located) was written by yesterday’s “chief prisoner of the Kremlin” Oleg Sentsov. He emphasizes that he knows Tatyana personally, describes her “heroic role” in the events of 2014, and then explains that Zakharov’s death was an accident, and the deceased himself was to blame for not leaving the building.

Then comes a set of pompous phrases about freedom and dignity, which Tatyana and all the protesters defended. He tells what would have happened to all the protesters if Yanukovych had won. Sentsov is not at all interested in what happened to the country because of the protesters’ victory.

Obviously, he believes that there is no doubt about the “benefits” that the people of Ukraine received from the overthrow of Yanukovych.

And at the end of his post it’s even more interesting. It turns out that the current government is “leaking

down the toilet" all the gains of the Maidan. In the end, Sentsov concludes that if they are imprisoned now, then isn’t this revenge?

At this point, of course, it is interesting to ask the question: who was imprisoned in Ukraine, who was actually convicted and sent to a colony?

Chernovol, who has been charged with a serious crime, is not only free, she has not been given any preventive measure at all, even the mildest. Digressing a little from the topic of the search at Chernovol, one cannot help but state that what an ungrateful person one must be to call Zelensky, who personally pulled him out of the colony, “revenge.”

Apparently, the “great director” forgot that Poroshenko was needed only as a “victim of the Putin regime.” Keeping in mind Savchenko, Pyotr Alekseevich didn’t really need Sentsov to be free. Oleg forgot that if Zelensky did anything good, it was for him and his comrades who returned home.

Let's look at the page of Lviv TV presenter Ostap Drozdov. No reaction to events.

Instead, Ostap was again concerned about the fate of the inhabitants of the East, very worried that it was necessary to introduce a non-citizen of Ukraine passport for 20% of the population. Let them live and work, they say, but they won’t get elected. After getting acquainted with Drozdov’s proposals, the deprived people of the times of Lenin-Stalin, the so-called lost in civil rights, immediately come to mind. In general, the Lvov journalist missed the search at Chernovol’s place.

Borislav Bereza, ex-deputy and ex-press secretary of the Right Sector, wrote several posts at once, but the topic of who paid for Zelensky and Ermak on their trip to Oman worries Bereza more.

A well-known Euromaidan activist and one of Poroshenko’s mouthpieces during the ATO, journalist Yuriy Butusov, originally began his post by quoting the recently fired Maidan prosecutor Sergei Gorbatyuk. The latter, according to Butusov, immediately compared the bringing of charges against Chernovol with the crimes of law enforcement officers during the Yanukovych era, when, from his point of view, they illegally “brought” Maidan activists to criminal liability.

Further, Gorbatyuk describes that the episode with Zakharov was investigated by his unit, the necessary examinations were carried out, which showed that Zakharov had the opportunity to leave the building, there were no obstacles to this, but he began to collect data from surveillance cameras to take them with him.

Thanks to Butusov for not saying, like last time, that Zakharov was going through safes to collect money. Think about it, according to Gorbatyuk, you can set the building on fire, there’s nothing wrong with that, because Zakharov could have left the building. Those. tomorrow someone will go and set fire to a neighbor’s house, and when they come to hold him accountable, he will say: so the neighbor could have gotten out, what’s my fault?

The former leader of the Right Sector, Dmitry Yarosh, threatens Zelensky that after the end of quarantine, he will remind the clowns besotted with power who is the master of their destiny in Ukraine, but if the “greens” want to speed up the process, then the pandemic will not become an obstacle - in war as in war.

He generally calls the GBR “Putin’s litter.” Yarosh apparently forgot his rating, forgot how many Ukrainian citizens wanted to see him as their president. And who ever asked the Ukrainians what they want? Yarosh, with his one-percent opinion, is Ukraine, what doubts there are. He can continue to fight. Who is Yarosh without the “revolution of hydity” and without war? That's right, no one. Why peace and economic prosperity? After all, we need to work there, not break and destroy.

It is noteworthy that the post was written not only on behalf of Yarosh, but was joined by Yuriy Lutsenko, Irina Gerashchenko, Yanina Sokolova, Gennady Korban, Vyacheslav Abroskin, Zoryan Shkiryak, Alexander Turchynov and other lesser-known figures.

The recently dismissed Deputy Prosecutor General Chumak also stands up for Chernovol.

Even a cursory, superficial glance at the opinions of people influencing the events in Ukraine just yesterday shows that the Chernovol case, so simple and obvious from a legal and human point of view, is very complex from a political point of view.

If we judge Chernovol, then we need to evaluate everything that happened at Euromaidan. Her crimes simply pale in comparison to the shelling carried out on the Maidan by father and son Parasyuk and against the background of thousands of bottles of Molotov cocktails thrown at police officers. After all, for many just yesterday captivated by the romance of Euromaidan, their eyes are opened to all these “heroes”, and more often crooks and adventurers, who, by destroying the rotten and thieving regime of Yanukovych, destroyed the country, which until recently was so prosperous and dear.

Here I remember the speech of Efim Shifrin, when he says that he dreamed of the Raikin swindlers, and how warm his soul felt after that, how good. So many Ukrainians now remember the problems of the times of the “evil ruler of Yanukovych” so fondly, not because there were no problems, they were, but against the backdrop of the hell of the last six years, it’s difficult to call them problems.
