The police closed criminal proceedings in connection with the death of the former chairman of the State Property Fund Valentina Semenyuk-Samsonenko.

This was announced by the speaker of the Main Directorate of the National Police of the Kyiv Region, Nikolai Zhukovich, Ukrainian News reports.
According to him, the case was closed due to the lack of evidence of a crime.
The case, which was investigated under the article “premeditated murder,” was closed in April.
Let us recall that in August 2014, Valentina Semenyuk-Samsonenko was found dead in her home in the village of Chaiki, Kyiv region. A hunting rifle was found near her.
Semenyuk-Samsonenko headed the State Property Fund from 2005 to 2008.
The media blamed oligarch Igor Kolomoisky for the death, but no one took up a serious investigation. According to the official version, it was “suicide.”
