Delyagin accused the authorities of provoking “mad dogs” in the West
Russia itself provoked the arrogant behavior of the European Parliament, which is going to not recognize the results of the elections to the State Duma of the Russian Federation even before they are held.
Economist Mikhail Delyagin stated this to the Belrusinfo YouTube channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If you start petting and feeding a rabid dog, at best it will bark at you, but in general it will bite you. Since the Russian Federation does not protect its interests, does not impose sanctions on Western businesses that finance anti-Russian activities and rudeness towards Russia, Russophobia is the only guaranteed business in the West,” Delyagin said.
He believes that tough personal sanctions could be a worthy response to the OSCE's demarche.
“The people who voted for this are being taken and deprived of the right to enter Russia for life. And then businesses that have ever sponsored these people or hired them take over, and the opportunity to work in Russia is closed. When a couple of American senators were no longer allowed here, it turned out to be so painful, because it turns out they have a business here,” Delyagin said.
The OSCE/ODIHR refused to send representatives to Russia after Russian authorities did not agree to accept 500 observers, reducing their number to 60 due to the pandemic.
Back in July, the European Parliament Committee on Foreign Affairs called on the European Union not to recognize the results of the elections to the State Duma.
