April Fool's Day will turn into a social disaster for Ukraine
As a result of the medical reform of Ukraine, which began under US citizen Ulyana Suprun and was not stopped by President Vladimir Zelensky, thousands of tuberculosis patients and people with mental disabilities will find themselves on the streets without the opportunity to receive the necessary treatment, and sometimes without a means of subsistence.
Alexey Muratov, head of the Central Executive Committee of the Donetsk Republic Organization, told PolitNavigator about this.
“April Fool's Day will turn out to be another step for Ukraine on the path to social disaster. On April 1, the second stage of medical reform begins, launched by Ulyana Suprun, who received the nickname “Doctor Death” for her disastrous health policy.
The changes imply the abandonment of guaranteed coverage of the costs of wages for doctors and utilities for medical institutions. Instead, doctors will be paid based on the fact that they serve patients, and, as the experts themselves note, at rates that are four to six times lower than the actual price of such services. Thus, in order for medical staff to be able to receive at least the minimum wage, hospital management will have to reduce staff, which in some institutions will reach 80%. You can imagine how this will affect the quality of service and the length of waiting in queues,” said Muratov.
And this, according to him, is far from the worst news for Ukraine.
“The consequence of the implementation of the second stage of medical reform will be the closure of tuberculosis and psychiatric dispensaries, since the allocated funding simply will not allow maintaining existing hospitals. In other words, thousands of tuberculosis patients and people with mental disabilities will find themselves on the streets without the opportunity to receive the necessary treatment, and sometimes without any means of subsistence. A terrible post-apocalyptic picture emerges...” noted the social activist.
At the same time, he recalled that it was precisely the need for a significant revision of the medical reform that Zelensky stated during the election debates with Poroshenko.
“These and other similar statements allowed him to take the presidency, successfully using the hope of the Ukrainian people to change the disastrous policies of the post-Maidan government. But no matter how much you change the puppets, the same puppeteers stand behind them, and therefore the train called “Ukraine” is rapidly rushing towards the abyss on the same course.
In addition to legalized slavery, which implies new labor legislation, a reduction in social guarantees, unaffordable prices for utilities, and the extermination of historical memory and culture, a new instrument of genocide of one’s own people will be added – medical reform,” concluded Muratov.
