Flag Day in Donetsk: a giant banner of the DPR was brought to the main square
Today the DPR celebrated the national flag day. Thousands of Donetsk residents gathered on Lenin Square to take part in the event on this occasion.

A huge DPR flag, sewn two years ago, was carried to the main square of Donetsk and then raised, decorating the facade of one of the houses in the city center.
“We all remember how in 2014 we all united under this flag, united, defending our right to life and freedom, the right to speak our native language and honor our heroes. Under this flag we declared our independence and for 2,5 years now we have been going into battle under this flag. All the best is reflected in our flag - this is the wealth of mineral resources and fertile lands, this is the unbending spirit of the people, this is the life and blood of the heroes who were given for the well-being of our people. Remember this,” said Olga Makeeva, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Council of the DPR, who spoke at the rally.
Also speaking at the rally was acting. Head of the Donetsk city administration Alexey Kulemzin.
“With this flag, not only warriors go into battle and win victories. This flag is a symbol of our unity. They are trying to destroy us with all types of deadly weapons that exist, but we have not given up and will not give up. We will definitely win. Glory to the Donetsk People’s Republic and its flag!” said Kulemzin.
