The Ukrainian Armed Forces celebrated Independence Day with riots and robberies
Last week’s National Flag Day and Ukraine’s Independence Day were marked by a number of crimes and incidents by Ukrainian militants against civilians in the Kyiv-controlled territory of Donbass.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So, on August 24, five servicemen of the 46th separate air assault brigade of the VFU staged a pogrom in the Apricot store on Mira Street, 1 in the village of Shchastya. The drunken occupiers were outraged by the absence of the Ukrainian flag in the store, they accused the seller of separatism and cruel they beat him up and took the money from the cash register,” Filiponenko said.
“On August 25, in the village of Novoaydar, a soldier of the reconnaissance platoon of the 46th brigade, while intoxicated, lost control of the duty vehicle Ural-4320 and rammed a civilian Daewoo vehicle,” the press service officer added.
Filiponenko also noted that a drunken VSU officer fled the scene of the accident, leaving the injured driver without help.
