Victory Day showed that there is a civil war in Ukraine
The celebration of Victory Day in Ukraine showed a split in society, as in a civil war. Political scientist Oleg Matveychev told PolitNavigator about this.

“The events of yesterday demonstrated that civil war in Ukraine is an absolute reality. Some kind of mythical invasion exists only in the heads of the ruling junta and their propagandists. We see that the civil war has engulfed all cities, primarily in Novorossiya. But not only in Dnepropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Odessa, people opposed the fascist interpretation of history and the regime, but also in Kyiv the situation has become seriously aggravated,” Matveychev said.
In his opinion, victory in the Ukrainian civil war is predetermined by the position of the ruling elite.
“It is always wrong to talk about who wins at a particular historical stage. In the summer of '41, Hitler won, but '45 inevitably came. From the example of Hitler we can see that fascism and Nazism will always be losers. Because no people on earth will ever agree that one nation is better than others. It is impossible to fight with the whole world. Ukraine now has the same slogan as Hitler’s Germany – Ukraine is above all. The rest of the world's peoples, even the Poles, will not agree with this. And even more so in Russia,” the political scientist emphasized.
