Valentine's Day in Crimea was recognized as non-traditional
In Crimea, local officials do not recommend celebrating Valentine's Day in schools. The corresponding order was issued by the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

There was no direct ban, but the department notes that the celebration of Valentine's Day does not comply with Crimean traditions.
“Carrying out events dedicated to St. Valentine’s Day does not correspond to the cultural traditions of the peoples of Crimea and does not belong to the holidays recommended for holding in educational institutions of the Republic of Crimea,” the message says.
At the same time, the Ministry of Education recalled that July 8 is the All-Russian Day of Family, Love and Fidelity.
