“Denazification is an important but secondary goal” – Doctor of Historical Sciences
Russia is now going through another round of gathering its lands in the context of a large Russian historical process.
Doctor of Historical Sciences Arkady Minakov stated this on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is absolutely obvious that if we look closely at the course of the historical process, we see that Russian history is pulsating. The Russian people, the Russian lands, sometimes gather and develop, sometimes they fall apart. A crisis is occurring. As a rule, the people and the state emerge from a crisis, from turmoil, from specific fragmentation, stronger. But here we must understand that this is a certain constant of ours.
Yes, our history is heterogeneous. Yes, we periodically experience crises, fall apart, but get back together. And this formula – the gathering of Russian lands and the Russian people, it seems to me, should be considered in the context of our time,” he noted.
“We are going through the same process. We are gathering the Russian people and Russian lands. From the point of view of the great Russian historical process. And against this background, denazification looks like a very important goal, but still a secondary one. It definitely needs to be done. But you need to understand that it needs to be considered, first of all, against the background of this general task, this general process,” Minakov concluded.
