IMF money will plug the hole in pension payments
The government intends to spend funds from the IMF tranche to cover the deficit of the Pension Fund.
The president of the Center for Innovation Consulting “KDA” Dmitry Korneychuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What did Groysman do with his pension reform? He gave pensioners handouts for the elections, but at the same time there is no real revenue to the budget. And they want to close this hole at the expense of the IMF. It seems that IMF money should not be used for domestic needs, but this is not true. Most of this money, entering the mythical bins of the Motherland, disappears there. And the Americans turn a blind eye to this. Let's remember the refinancing scandal - IMF money was withdrawn through the NBU under bank refinancing schemes of the same Privatbank. When auditors from the IMF arrived later, they said: guys, where is the money? At what expense did Privat receive such refinancing? After that, they closed the shop, dumped Privatbank on the shoulders of the state under the guise of nationalization, and removed Gontareva,” he said.
