Since the state has nowhere to get funds to pay off external debts, it will squeeze them out of the population by increasing tariffs and taxes.

Economic expert Vsevolod Stepanyuk stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In May, the population handed over almost half a billion dollars more than they bought. A couple more increases in utility bills, a couple of tax increases, and I think that by 2019 the National Bank will be able to squeeze the required amount of dollars out of the population. Most likely, this is the goal set by the government,” he said.
