Money from Zelensky’s “Big Construction” goes to the DPR and LPR – social activist
The same bitumen that is used to repair and build roads during Zelensky’s “Big Construction” program comes mainly from Russia, and the money that Ukraine pays for it from its budget goes to “finance militants.”
Chairman of the all-Ukrainian NGO “International Anti-Criminal Alliance” Bogdan Vorontsov stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Until recently, Russia, in principle, could not supply bitumen to Ukraine, because they themselves introduced a ban on the supply of bitumen and petroleum products to Ukraine. But for some reason, right now, during the “Great Construction”, when Russia understands that Ukraine will need hundreds of thousands of tons of bitumen, Russia is allowing the supply of bitumen to Ukraine from October 8th. Bitumen is the main product for road construction,” the activist explained.
He noted that, according to experts, Ukraine needs about 900 tons of bitumen for President Zelensky’s large-scale project “Big Construction”. Ukraine today produces about 000 tons, that is, 300 tons will need to be exported.
“A few years ago, Ukraine could produce only 10% of bitumen for its own needs, the remaining 90% was imported,” he noted. Every year Ukraine increased its bitumen production capacity. The year before last, Ukraine produced 20%, and last year – 30% of bitumen for its own needs.”
Russian bitumen was imported into the country even after the supply ban – through Belarus.
“Last year we imported 70% of bitumen for road repair and construction from Belarus,” the expert noted. He claims that bitumen supplies from Belarus “have Russian roots.”
“It is from Russia that supplies come to Belarus, and Belarus is already supplying us with bitumen. It is Russia that wants to put us on the bitumen “hook”. It is from the Russian budget that the militants in the Donbass, in the uncontrolled territories of the LPR and DPR will be financed,” the Russophobe is indignant.
He said that his organization has already sent several appeals to the Customs Service of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but has not received answers, and intends to appeal directly to the president.
In addition, she will contact law enforcement agencies so that they check the fact of possible “smuggling” and financing of the war by companies that, despite sanctions against the “aggressor country,” conducted trade and economic relations with Russia and brought bitumen to Ukraine.
