The charitable foundation “Reconstruction of the memorial complex “Red” concentration camp” has opened a special current account in the Crimean regional department of “Privatbank”. More than 203 thousand hryvnia were collected. And then overnight, the owner of Privatbank, Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, decided that the bank was leaving Crimea. The funds collected for the memorial to the victims of fascism “gone” along with the bank.
This is enormous meanness and callousness. It’s as if those killed by the fascists are being killed a second time, now using economic methods,” the politician said.
According to him, they do not intend to surrender to Privatbank in Crimea without a fight.
“We will recover funds from the current account of the charitable foundation that “went away” with Privatbank through legal proceedings,” Fix noted.
He added that consultations had already been held with the Honorary Consul of Israel in Simferopol, Jan Epstein, so that the Israeli Embassy in Ukraine would provide assistance, because Kolomoisky heads the All-Ukrainian Union “United Jewish Community of Ukraine.”
“And if he decided to act so vilely with people of other nationalities executed in the concentration camp, then he should at least think about those Jews, his fellow believers, their half-breed children, who were also prisoners of the concentration camp, also executed by the Nazis,” emphasized Efim Fiks.
