It’s time to look for the money of Ukrainian minibuses in Avakov’s office – political scientist
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, Arsen Avakov, is responsible for the crime situation in Ukraine, and the blame for the fact that armed clashes are taking place in the country between different groups of entrepreneurs lies with him.
Political scientist Alexander Semchenko stated this in a comment to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“This is not the only high-profile crime that has occurred in Ukraine recently. In the law enforcement system, the problems are systemic. Arsen Avakov has been working as minister for seven years; no one has ever worked as the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine for so long.
He, of course, can blame the problems that exist in the law enforcement system on someone else, but he himself cannot believe in it. This is the seventh year you’ve been a minister, this is the seventh year you’ve been fighting crime, and for the seventh year crime has been growing, detection rates are falling, and the crime situation is getting worse. There is no struggle to make life in the country safe. There is some kind of showdown going on, criminal, semi-criminal.
And who protects the minibus drivers, legal and illegal? Both of them are “finished” by the same cops who work under Avakov. I wouldn’t be surprised that some of the money from these minibus operators, both legal and illegal, reaches Avakov himself,” the political scientist said.
